The church started at Park Meadow Apartments in Hogansville, GA, with seven individuals. Eventually, the church relocated in June of 1992 to the Reunion Hall. Reunion Hall was an old building used by a local prayer band of elderly women. This site became the first official home of Miracle Ministries of Jesus Christ Church. Due to a need for a larger facility, the church relocated again to a store front on Main Street in downtown Hogansville. The ministry would reside there for seven years. Again, the ministry out-grew this location. In September of 2000, the Ministry purchased a 40,000 square foot facility with 30 acres of Land on Industrial Road in Hogansville, GA.
In 2006, the Lord lead Pastor Evans to decide to change the name of the Church to Destiny Worship Center International. This change signaled a new direction for the church. Pastor Evans and the church would now be dedicated to helping individuals find their purpose and calling in life. Destiny Worship Center International was more appropriate.
